DR MARIA CHERNYSHEVA

Junior research group leader

Maria obtained her PhD degree in Laser Physics from Fiber Optics Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2014. She moved to Aston University, UK shortly after finishing PhD. Maria has was the recipient of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (EU Horizon2020) and Engnineering for Development Research Fellowship from Royal Academy of Engineering. From beginning of 2019 Dr. Chernysheva has been a leader of Junior Research Group “Ultrafast fibre lasers” at Leibniz-IPHT

DENNIS CHRISTIAN KIRSCH

PhD student

Dennis joined IPHT in October 2019. He studied laser technology and photonics at the University of Applied Sciences Münster. He got MSc degree from the Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. in 2017. Afterwards he worked as research associate at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute.

KIRILL GREBNEV

PhD student

Kirill Grebnev joined the group in 2022 as a PhD student. He holds a M.Sc. in Lightguided photonics from the ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia). He is experienced in the development and research of fibre Bragg grating-based sensors and devices. Prior to IPHT, he worked at the fibre Bragg gratings inscription lab at ITMO University. His research interests lie in the area of nonlinear fibre optics and femtosecond lasers.
